About Relics & Ruins
Relics & Ruins exists on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, with this website aiming to pull together the content I’ve created across all of these channels.
About me

MY Story
My love of history and photography
Firstly, I am not an academic, but I have a keen interest in history with a particular interest in Roman-era Britain.
I started out in film photography with a Pentax 35mm film camera in my teens and moved into digital cameras and camcorders in the early 2000s, making family movies and designing and authoring DVDs.
Combining both of these interests lead to Relics & Ruins – filming and photographing historic sites I have visited, adding in a little of the stories of each place.
EQUIPMENT
I’m a Fujifilm fan!
During lockdown I bought an X100F camera. I fell in love with the aesthetics and the ‘look’ that Fujifilm cameras can give.
Before long, I moved to video-capable cameras with interchangeable lenses and stuck with the brand, and love every minute of using them.
